Important participation in increasing voter percentage
The voter awareness campaigns by Patrika played an important role in increasing the voting percentage in the assembly elections in five states. Before the voting process, the Editor-in-Chief of Patrika Group, Gulab Kothari, began the Jan-Gan-Man Yatra in September 2023 to contact public representatives and voters in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. In the first two phases of this journey, Kothari traveled about 5,600 km by road in the three states. He visited sixty districts and more than 170 assembly constituencies. Five years ago, Kothari reached out to the voters of all three states. Patrika's Jaago Janmat campaign for voter awareness has continued since the last four general elections. This time as well, Patrika inspired people to vote in the three states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Even in 2014, on the occasion of National Voter's Day, the Election Commission gave the Patrika the National Media Award for its efforts in voter awareness.
